The Salty Old Dogs

Meet the Team You'll Work with

We don't smoke cigars, but we are a small group of people that believe that everything we do, must challenge the status quo. And yes, like to think we have a bit of salt.

Logan McNay

Meet

Logan believes that traditional advertising is dead in the water. He believes the new way of commercials is to make specific, relevant content that is entertaining to a brand's target audience, not just shouting a logo into the oblivion and hoping for the best.

MEET

Josiah Byall

Josiah made huge waves back in the day when he was a nationally recognized-professional knitter in Uzbekistan. He's still noticed on the streets today. But don't ask him about it. He said he'd never pick up the spool again. Today he just makes commercials.

Part 1.

Part 2.

Strategy.

Ideation.

From strategy we've learned about your customers and your business, now we come up with ideas for how to accomplish what you're looking to do through a deliverable.

The strategy is where we diagnose business problems regarding why you want a video. Learning insights here can change the entire perspective of what problem having a video solves and is the framework for what we base our ideas off of.

Part 3.

Part 2.

Pre-Production.

Production.

This part can take the form of any deliverable.

Once we've set on the idea, we begin getting the logistics down. Dates, locations, crew, gear, bathrooms, and yes, crafty.

Logan McNay

Director.

Logan geeks out on the design of everyday things. He grew up in awe of art and storytelling. Making things is a part of who he is, and making meaning of those things is his pursuit.

Tyler Metcalf

Executive Producer.

Human Extraordinaire. No seriously. Human Extraordinaire. If you googled it, you'd get Tyler's picture that you see right here. Go ahead. Try it. We know you won't.

Josiah Byall

Producer.

Josiah made huge waves back in the day when he was a nationally recognized-professional knitter in Antarctica. He's still noticed on the streets today. But don't ask him about it. He said he'd never pick up the spool again. Today he is just a producer who makes commercials.
